Production Begins On The Wedding
Production on the tentatively titled "The Wedding" a.k.a. "Gently Down The Stream" and the "The Big Wedding" has begun in Greenwich, Connecticut. The comedy, which will see Katherine join an all star cast that includes Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Robin Williams, Susan Sarandon, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace and Ben Barnes, is scheduled to shoot throughout August producer Clay Pecorin told Greenwich Time today.
The location of the film will represent somewhat of a homecoming for several of the cast and crew: Katherine and co-star Topher Grace both grew up nearby, and director Justin Zackham and producer Pecorin attended Greenwich High School. The film-making duo, who have already obtained authorization to shoot at several locations including a private home in the Stanwich neighborhood, are seeking an exemption from the town's midnight-to-6 a.m. filming curfew to shoot a pool scene at the Burning Tree Country Club.
