JDM-The-Ten Benefit Event
At Jean De Merry's JDM-THE-TEN event held at the company's Melrose Place showroom in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, Katherine Heigl's furniture design collaboration with the West Hollywood gallery was one of ten custom pieces on show to honor the ten-year anniversary of the made-to-order line and store.
Ten guest designers were chosen by owner Jean de Merry to help create the furniture, with all proceeds from the sale of each piece benefiting the charity of their choice.
Katherine chose The Compassion Revolution, one of the major initiatives of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation to address the pet overpopulation crisis in the Los Angeles area, as her beneficiary. Her limited-edition vanity table is a sensuously rounded, French lacquered, hand-carved walnut piece finished with bronze pulls and topped by a three-piece mirror.
Guests sipped on Grey Goose cocktails at the private, invitation-only party to view the pieces on display by the chosen designers, which in addition to Katherine, also included model Karolina Kurkova and interior design star Oliver Furth.
