Jeff: Coming up on
8:14 here on WB2Day. Time for a real treat, especially for all you WB fans that watch at
night. You can see her on one of the hottest new shows on television. It's on Mondays at
eight right here on WB2. I'm talking about Katherine Heigl, on the sci-fi/teen hit, Roswell.
(turns to Katherine and shakes her hand) Katherine, thanks for coming by to talk to us.
Katherine: Thank you.
Jeff: Now, I've got to be honest with you, because I go to bed a little
early.
Katherine: Oh. (laughs)
Jeff: Actually, I go to bed earlier than my nine-month-old, because we do
the show. But my wife watches the show all the time, and it's called Roswell.
First of all, for the people who don't get a chance to watch the show, like me, it's a
little X-files, a little teen hit, it's a little bit of everything.
Katherine: Yeah. We've got the whole...it's all mixed in there together.
It's got the developing relationships part and it's got the sci-fi-alien-hunter thing too.
Jeff: So just a little bit X-files.
Katherine: Yeah. Yeah.
Jeff: And you, you're one of the aliens.
Katherine: I am, I play Isabel.
Jeff: But you're not...most aliens are like "Take me to your
leader!" (Katherine laughs.) But you're not that kind of alien.
Katherine: No, no, we're not that. We're actually "hiding our
identity for as long as we possibly can" sort of thing. Nobody knows we're aliens. We
look like everybody else, and we just have special powers. Jeff: Like what?
Katherine: Well, I can dreamwalk people, which is my particular power,
which is really fun.
Jeff: What can you do with me then?
Katherine: Um...when you're sleeping, I can go into your dreams.
Jeff: Really?
Katherine: Now, I figured out, too -- which is coming up in later
episodes -- that I cannot only do it when people are sleeping, I can do it when they're
awake too. Just go into people's sub-conscious and read their minds...kind of, see their
thoughts. It's weird.
Jeff: But you're a good alien, not
a bad alien.
Katherine: Right. I use my powers for good, not evil. |
