Planet Hollywood: Exactly how scary is the director, Jamie Blanks?

Katherine Heigl: He's actually a guy who doesn't like violence in real life, believe it or not. And he's pretty wonderful to work with. Jamie is passionate about what he's doing, so that was great. He’d talk a lot about what he had in mind, and his vision for the movie.

Planet Hollywood: Do roles in horror movies turn you on, or is Bride of Chucky and now Valentine just all a coincidence for you?

Katherine Heigl: It’s been more coincidence than anything else. They just all happen to be characters I really love. In the case of Bride of Chucky, for me it was a lot about getting to do a big studio film, and working with some really interesting people. Most of what I get has come around because of chance, so I went for it. But I think this will be the last horror for me for a while.

Planet Hollywood: What are you looking for that's new and different?

Katherine Heigl: A little bit of everything. There's nothing in particular that I have in mind right now. I have been reading a lot of films lately, because they’re trying to get them done before the strike. So I’m looking at different projects now, and trying to get something before the strike happens.

That would be the ideal. If not, I’m just going to take it easy and pretty much do nothing. And hopefully when it’s all over, I’ll be able to really start looking for something very different from what I’ve done. You know, so I can just keep it interesting, and keep it new.

Planet Hollywood: What do you see happening for you in the future on TV with Roswell?

Katherine Heigl: I don’t know, I really don’t know what will happen with the show. I think maybe we’ll continue, at least I hope so. It’s pretty much up in the air right now.

Planet Hollywood: What's going on with all your Roswell fans?

Katherine Heigl: We occasionally have them come on the set, so that’s really fun. They can kind of see what goes on there. Last year they threw us a big party, so that was really cool. And that's great, because you generally have no idea how fans are reacting to you.

We've been getting on the Internet with them too. I think the Internet is the best way to interact with fans so, we do some chats occasionally. I want to see what they’re saying and thinking. You know, kind of be a fly on the wall and observe what's going on when they’re in the chatrooms, and talking about the show.

Planet Hollywood: Are you a horror movie fan, or is just being in them about all that you can take?

Katherine Heigl: Oh, yeah, I've been a fan for practically forever. I remember loving Halloween: H20 when it first came out. And I saw Carrie years ago. I remember when they were fun to show to your friends. You know, to scare the crap out of them.
