In an epic quest to restore order, one squirrel will rise… Here is the new ‘Jobbit’ trailer for The Nut Job, which takes more than a little inspiration from The Hobbit, as it parodies moments from the Tolkein adventure.
Katherine joins Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham and Liam Neeson for the comedy caper, which follows Surly, a mischievous squirrel, who must plan a heist to get into his town’s biggest nut shop in order to help his pals in the park gather food to survive the winter. Together with his sidekick, Buddy, he will assemble a ragtag crew to help him get inside, and take them on a fun-filled adventure that they’ll never forget.

In spirit of giving which marks the holiday season, Katherine Heigl wanted to do something extra special to help animals in need. At this festive time of the year, which often coincides with the period of greatest need for our four-legged friends, she will match every donation made to support the work of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation during December, dollar for dollar, up to a total value of $100,000.
If you make your charitable gift by December 31st, not only will 100% of your generous contribution be tax deductible, but it will have double the benefit with Katherine’s matching contribution. The income will help her non-profit animal welfare organization rescue more of the millions of pets abandoned in shelters every year and care for more animals that have been neglected and abused.
Announcing the initiative, Katherine Heigl said, "The dollar for dollar donation match is not only fantastic news for companion animals who desperately need our help, but also a great way to thank people for their generosity and contribution to the life saving work of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation."
