have been eagerly trying to catch a glimpse of the filmmaking process. Yesterday, as
cast and crew prepared to shoot some night scenes in the
Virginia Highlands area of the city, excited
onlookers tried to catch a glimpse of proceedings and extras
reported on Facebook and Twitter about their on set experiences:
On Thursday, a
local shop owner Tweeted that Katherine, Josh and Nancy paid a
visit to her yarn shop during a break in filming. Katherine, a
keen knitter, was looking to knit some baby sweaters for new
baby daughter Naleigh. The poster added "the
whole area is a movie set now - it's crazy!".
On Wednesday
night, the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Katherine enjoyed
an early dinner at Market inside the new W hotel in Buckhead,
adding that "Heigl remained low key and sweet, even when
seemingly half of the hotel’s guests began posting the celeb
sighting on their Facebook and Twitter profiles as she ate".
The pattern of
sightings continued back throughout the week as Atlanta natives
adjusted to the fact that their city is becoming a focus for a
number of feature films and television shows. Locals may have to
adjust to seeing more famous faces over the coming weeks and
months as the new CW hit show The Vampire Diaries is also
filming in the area. |
