Last week Katherine returned to LA from the set of her movie "Life As We Know It" in Atlanta, to shoot a new episode of "Grey's Anatomy". She was spotted at Prospect Studios where the TV show is filmed on Thursday (October 22nd) with her baby daughter Naleigh. Stuck to the outside door of her trailer was a cute pink note with a smiley face saying "Baby Sleeping".

Katie's character Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, who was fired from her position at Seattle Grace hospital in the wake of the merger with rival Mercy West, will return to TV screens on November 12th. The episode entitled "New History", will feature Joel Grey as Izzie's high school mentor who is now in need of her help as he battles dementia. This will be the only episode that Katherine appears in during the November sweeps as she completes work on her new movie. 

On Sunday (October 25th), having finished filming her scenes for the forthcoming episode of the ABC medical drama, she was spotted catching a flight with her family from Burbank Airport to return to the set of her romance feature "Life As We Know It".
