Numerous
companies
keen to benefit from Katherine's huge success in both film and
television have re-released a number of DVDs in recent years from
earlier in her career, with the emphasis on marketing her role in their productions.
In 2008,
the box set DVDs for the television series "Roswell" in which she
starred for three seasons, were re-issued with the focus of the
branding being
Katherine's presence. Her character Isabel
Evans was the focus of the covers and artwork for the discs. |

The latest production hoping to capitalize on her stardom is the 2003 film "Descendent",
which was re-released on DVD earlier this month. The film, a
psychological thriller, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall
of the House of Usher," concerns a young novelist (Jeremy
London) tormented by his family's history and haunted by the
spectre of his long-dead, more famous ancestor. The novelist
meets and falls in love with a woman (Katherine Heigl), a
distant relative of his ancestor, whose friends and family begin
to disappear mysteriously. |
