6. What do you think is different about the Katherine Heigl
Collection compared to
other scrubs on the market?
This is the first time that someone has approached medical
apparel from a completely
new perspective. Although there have been a few companies that
have put known brands
on the label of healthcare apparel, no other company has
reengineered scrubs to be
fashionable in the same way that we have.
The Katherine Heigl Collection's origins are in fashion –
fashions that have been
adapted to meet the standards of the healthcare industry. The
details and the trends
that permeate the pieces in the collection are the same types of
trends that our
customers are seeking in regular clothing stores today.
Everything we have done is
fresh, fashionable and functional.
7. How do you think nurses and others in the medical field will
respond to the
Katherine Heigl Collection?
Anyone who takes pride in how they look and enjoys fashion will
love this collection.
I wish that I could wear these scrubs to my work!
8. What's your favorite piece or line in the collection? Why?
My favorite design group in the collection is Los Angeles . The
pieces are laid back,
comfortable and still have small details that make them unique.
The blue scrubs with
grey sleeves and white silk screen is probably the outfit that I
love the most. The
design elements are subtle, yet they completely transform the
look from boring scrubs
to something vibrant and trendy.
9. If you weren't an actress, would you consider working in the
medical field?
I would like to think that I could. Doctors and nurses have some
of the toughest and
most important jobs on earth. It's a tremendous amount of
responsibility and hard
work.
10. We understand that your sister is in the medical field. How
does she feel about
the line?
She's very excited about it. Everyone in her office can't wait
to see the collection.
All of her co-workers were thrilled to know that they can bring
in some of their
out-of-the-office style into the office through our designs.
Many of the people that
she works with are young and very fashion-conscious. They have
been looking for more
sophisticated options than what has been on the market until
now.
11. Since you wear scrubs for a good part of your workday, how
do these compare?
There is no comparison with the scrubs we wear on the show. They
are plain and stodgy
– they have no shape. These scrubs are bright and bold and are
cut to truly flatter
your figure. The designs are really innovative and mimic what's
in style right now –
all of the latest trends.
12. Will you wear the scrubs personally?
I will definitely wear these scrubs. They are so comfortable –
they've replaced my
sweats as loungewear. |
