Columba Pictures has
released the preview trailer for Katherine's new R Rated
romantic comedy "The
Ugly Truth" in which she plays Abby a romantically
challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect
has left her hopelessly single. The battle of the sexes heats up
when her bosses team her with hardcore TV personality Mike
Chadway (Gerard Butler), who promises to
spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick. Will
their immediate friction create sparks? Or will someone go down
in flames?

"The
Insider" took an
exclusive first look behind the scenes of the film which
hits theatres in April 2009. Katherine spoke about her character
- "I think we decided to make Abby just on the cusp of OCD," she
explained. "Just a really uptight chick who is super organized,
super on top of things, and likes that kind of control in every
aspect of her life; she's really great at her job, but she tries
to take that professionalism and those organizational skills
into dating."
