Katherine's hair Colorist
Kim Vo has
been
chatting to InStyle today about the new dark brunette look that
has caused quite a stir in the entertainment press of late, explaining,
"at her request, I took Katherine a deep rich chocolate brown.
It's the darkest she’s ever been, and she loves it."
Vo was also responsible for Katherine's
light auburn tresses which she has shown off in recent months, including red carpet events such as the premiere of
her romantic comedy "The Ugly
Truth" last summer.
Speaking with the
The Colorist in 2009, Vo said, "Katherine always
wanted to wear darker hair, but due to pressures to look a
certain way for her TV and movie roles, it wasn't possible-until
now."
Last year, Katherine's character in Grey's Anatomy had
been suffering from cancer, losing her hair as a result of
the treatment she received whilst battling the disease. Consequently, she was able to hide
her hair under a bald-cap and makeup, allowing her to switch
from her familiar blonde locks to a new darker hue.
