Cheryl Hines of "Curb Your
Enthusiasm" fame has joined the cast of the Lakeshore
Entertainment romantic comedy "The Ugly Truth" which is
headlined by Katherine.She joins Gerard Butler ("300", "P.S.
I Love You") who had already signed up to play opposite Katie,
in a story which focuses on a romantically challenged morning
show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled by her
chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) in a series of outrageous
tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find
love. Hines will play the morning show's perfectly coiffed and
self-possessed co-anchor.
The movie also reunites the "Legally Blonde" team of director
Robert Luketic and writers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten
Smith. Production is scheduled to begin in April.
