Principal
photography on Katherine's new movie "One
For The Money" is set to begin in the Pittsburgh area in
just over a week and production teams have been busy gearing up
for filming. Much of
the movie will be shot in
downtown Ambridge and surrounding areas beginning on July
12th and lasting for approximately 50 days.
Location
manager Shawn Boyachek has been busy scouting locations for
various scenes in the movie and on Friday, June 25th was spotted
with a team of a dozen crew as they checked out a famous local
bridge. The green steel beams of the Kittanning Citizens Bridge
that crisscross over the Allegheny River have been used as a
backdrop in a number of movies and television shows. Boyacheck
revealed to Pittsburgh Live that subject to PennDOT permits,
the bridge will be closed in September for filming. The scene
that may be shot occurs when Katherine's
character Stephanie Plum, is in her car and stops to speak with
someone.

Meanwhile, agents
Nancy
Mosser Casting have been busy casting for extras and minor
roles in the movie. Staff recently visited the World Class
Boxing Gym on Eighth Street in Ambridge and owner Tom Yankello
told the California Chronicle, "I guess there's a boxing
scene in the movie, so they wanted to pick some boxers from my
gym and the mixed-martial arts gym we have downstairs." The
boxing scenes are expected to be shot at the end of August.
Author Janet Evanovich, who
wrote the best selling novel on which the movie is based,
told
the New Zealand Herald recently that she was excited "One
For The Money" would soon be on the big screen. "I'm thrilled because
Katherine Heigl is going to star as Stephanie Plum," she said. |
