Fans of Katherine in the UK will be delighted
to know that LIVINGtv are to air Grey's Anatomy, which is
due to premiere in the US early in 2005. Katherine stars
as Isobel "Izzie" Stevens in the medical drama. The following
press release reveals LIVINGtv's acquisition:The ABC series Life as we know it and
the midseason replacement Grey's Anatomy have been licensed to
LIVINGtv in the U.K., via a deal with Buena Vista International
Television.
Life as we know it will air in 2005, and Grey's Anatomy in
2006. Hannah Barnes, LIVINGtv's deputy controller, noted,
"LIVINGtv is pushing boundaries by bringing the best U.S.
programming to the U.K., such as The L Word and CSI, and life as
we know it will continue to drive this trend. It’s all about
teenagers who are obsessed with sex and will therefore appeal to
those aspirational teenage and young adult viewers in the U.K.
This deal is all about appealing to a broader audience, in our
ambition to become the sixth channel."

BVITV, added, "LIVINGtv will make a great home for these two
much-anticipated new series, which are creating a buzz in the
international market even at this early stage. We're sure that
