Katherine has been busy shooting her new movie "One For The Money" in the Pittsburgh area for the past few weeks. In addition to the role of protagonist Stephanie Plum in front of the camera, she has also been working behind the scenes as an executive producer via her production company Abishag.

In 2007 she founded the company, named after a character in a poem by Robert Frost about the transient nature of beauty and fame, with her mother and manager Nancy Heigl. Under their production banner the duo have a number of projects in development, including Lost & Found and Escape, which are based on the best selling novels by Jacqueline Sheehan and Carolyn Jessop respectively.
