Press Release
"Grey's Anatomy" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
On its second telecast, "Grey's Anatomy" continued to deliver
ABC's best audience retention coming out of "Desperate
Housewives." ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" drew more viewers than its
combined competition in the 10 o'clock hour, NBC's "Crossing
Jordan" and CBS' movie "John Q" (18.2 million vs. 17.5 million).
Among Adults 18-49, ABC topped the combined deliveries of NBC
and CBS by 52% (7.9/19 vs. 5.2/13).
* "Grey's Anatomy" was up over its week-earlier debut
telecast by nearly 2 million viewers (18.2 million vs. 16.3
million) and by 10% among Adults 18-49 (7.9/19 vs. 7.2/18). In
fact, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" is network television's only drama
(returning and new) to grow from its premiere telecast to its
second telecast in both Nielsen measures during the 2004-05 TV
season.
* The new ABC drama produced ABC's largest series audience
(18.2 million) and top Adult 18-49 (7.9/19) and Adult 18-34
(6.9/18) ratings in the time period since 2001 - since 9/23/01,
5/13/01 and 2/11/01, respectively. |
