Max remains imprisoned in the white room, with Pierce interrogating and demanding information from him. Max tries to tell him he’s made a mistake, but agents in biohazard suits crash into the room, strap Max to a table and give him an injection to render him unconscious.

Back at the Crashdown, Isabel is frightened that Max might already be dead, but Tess reassures her that Pierce isn’t interested in killing Max. Isabel insists they have to rescue her brother. Prompted by Alex, she reveals her ability to dreamwalk into another person’s mind. Liz urges her to walk into Max’s subconscious, but Isabel doubts that she can do it when a person is awake.

Meanwhile, Pierce continues his grilling of Max, and informs him that while his X-rays are normal, his blood is decidedly not. He tells Max that he knows about the crash, and the aftermath. As Pierce causes Max to lose consciousness again, Isabel prepares to walk into Max’s dreams. With Alex beside her, Isabel enters Max’s mind, and finds herself crawling on the floor of the white room, crying Max’s name. She spots him, tied to a wall, and begs him to tell her where he is. She sees from his thoughts how he was wheeled into the facility where he’s being held, and how he was tortured by Pierce. She wakes up, nearly hysterical. She now knows that they’ve drugged Max and hurt him, but she also knows where he is. She, Michael and Tess decide to go rescue him, and tell the humans they have to stay behind.

They enter the facility where Max is being held, and come upon Nasedo, who has shapeshifted into Agent Pierce himself. Though Isabel is still suspicious of Nasedo, she has no choice but to accept his help. Together, they formulate a plan to get Max out, and Isabel must walk into Max’s dreams yet again in order to let him know of their plan. Through Isabel’s dreamwalking, Nasedo’s shapeshifting, and Tess’s ability to control people’s thoughts, Max is rescued.
