After experiencing vivid, recurrent nightmares in which he is cornered and executed by storm trooper-type soldiers, Michael decides he needs to take a break and get away from Roswell for a while. He informs Max that he’s going to "Vegas, Baby," with the $50,000 bribe he received from Laurie’s aunt and uncle. When Isabel overhears Max and Michael talking about the trip, she insists she’s been stressed out in the past few weeks and needs to get away, too. Max reluctantly agrees to her coming along, and soon, everyone else is tagging along as well – Maria, Tess, Kyle, Alex, and Liz.

Maria, who is in charge of arrangements, has booked a suite for the group, and as soon as they arrive, Michael begins to dole out $3,000 to each of them, using his powers to change their drivers’ licenses to show that they’re all of legal age. He has also taken the liberty of changing their names to those of alcoholic beverages, such as Isabel’s "Brandy Alexander." Money in hand, the group hits the casino, with the males immediately gravitating to the gaming tables. Isabel, Maria, Tess, and Liz split up, with Maria heading for the spa, Tess and Liz getting stopped by security for being underage, and Isabel stuck sitting at a slot machine, dropping in quarter after quarter. She looks around the casino and sees affectionate couples everywhere, and it’s clear she’s depressed.

Suddenly, a very upset young woman in a red wine-stained bridal gown appears nearby, crying not only about the stain on her dress, but about her maid-of-honor having taken ill from food poisoning, with her wedding only a half-hour away. Isabel sympathizes with the bride, pretends to use a cloth and water to blot the stain, but actually uses her powers to make the spot disappear, to the grateful bride’s relief. Just then, the bride’s fiancé strolls up, blindfolded and led by the best man, and they discuss the fact that the maid-of-honor remains indisposed and unable to take part in the wedding. The best man, Dave, who has definitely noticed Isabel, suggests that Isabel substitute as maid-of-honor in the wedding, and with a big smile, Isabel agrees to help.

Meanwhile, Maria discovers that an audition is being held in one of the Las Vegas nightclubs, and wants so badly to try out that she bribes Alex with $3,000 to accompany her. Since Alex has just lost his $3,000 in one hand at the Blackjack table, he goes along and plays piano as Maria sings for a sleazy producer-type. The producer likes her, but when he tells her to take off her clothes, she discovers to her horror that the audition is for a stripper. At the same time, Michael is using his powers to win big at the craps table, though Max openly disapproves. When a casino manager becomes suspicious that Michael is cheating, he closes the table and tells them to leave the casino. Michael loudly objects, throwing a tantrum and punching the casino representative, and he and Max end up getting arrested.
