Head in hand, Isabel watches television in the Evans kitchen, wielding a remote control as she flips endlessly through the channels. Max sits next to her, also head in hands, as Isabel declares each channel’s programs to be "Crap. Crap. Crap." Completely bored, Isabel tells Max she’s going to go "take a stroll – see what people are dreaming." Max warns her to stay away from Liz, an order Isabel then promptly disobeys, of course. Touching a finger to Liz’s yearbook picture, she enters Liz’s dream, which features a muscular, tee-shirted guy named Brad, Max, a barefoot Liz uttering the line "Would you like…fries with that?" as she’s laid upon the Crashdown counter, and much kissing. Isabel is in true form as she opines that even Liz’s romantic dreams are boring. She yawns, then chooses Kyle as her next dreamwalk victim, thinking his dream has to be better than Liz’s. But Kyle’s dream involves Buddha, a cell phone, and Kyle’s fears that he’s becoming part-alien thanks to Max using his powers to save Kyle’s life. Isabel is amused until suddenly, she is no longer in Kyle’s dream, but in that of a frightened girl trapped inside a bag, and being dragged across the ground. Isabel awakens, terrified.

Sheriff Valenti is in his office when he’s visited by his old friend Dan, a police investigator. Dan informs Valenti that the State Police Board wants to review the Hubble case (from "The Convention" episode), which Valenti then tries hard to downplay. Isabel and Max tell Valenti about Isabel’s dreamwalking experience, and Max urges Valenti to check into it, reminding him that Isabel was able to save Tess’s life when she acted on her psychic flashes.

Meanwhile, at the Crashdown, Maria is annoyed when her cousin Sean comes to town to stay with her and her mother. Having just arrived thanks to an "early release – good behavior", Sean shows an interest in Liz, which seems to be somewhat reciprocated.

Grant Sorenson sits in the Evans kitchen, idly flipping through the channels as Isabel and Max had done earlier, as he waits for Isabel to finish dressing for their date. Max seems not very pleased, and goes to talk to Isabel in her room. He finds her in a clothes-changing frenzy, still very disturbed about her dreamwalking experience. In the movie theatre, Isabel seems to be enjoying the movie despite her being with Grant. She giggles at the events onscreen, then for some inexplicable reason, allows Grant to massage her stiff neck. Even more mysteriously, she puts her head on his shoulder and drifts off, and is suddenly once again in the kidnapped girl’s dream. As before, Isabel sees the girl being dragged across the ground, but this time, she nearly sees the kidnapper’s face. She leaps screaming out of both the dream and her seat, startling those around her.
