Meet The Dupes

He explains to Max that there is to be a summit meeting, and since Zan is gone, Max is the only king they have. Max asks why he wasn’t contacted, and Rath replies that "they" don’t know there were two sets of them. Why did they need two sets? Lonnie answers that they didn’t get the one set right, so they made another. Michael implies that she and the others are defective, but she claims the Roswell aliens are the defective ones – too human. She also says that because of the war raging on their home planet, they wanted to double their chances of a set surviving.

Isabel and Lonnie meet on the stairs, and Isabel asks if "Lonnie" is short for "Vilandra." Lonnie says it is, then asks what Isabel knows of Vilandra. Isabel replies that she’s heard some things. Lonnie then sits down next to Isabel and talks about how Vilandra betrayed her family, and got everyone killed. She says it’s hard to keep something like that a secret, but can’t believe that Isabel hasn’t told Max. Isabel says she didn’t want to believe it herself, and dreads the thought of telling him. Lonnie says it will be their little secret, just as Alex comes up to offer them beverages. Lonnie slaps him down with "No three-ways tonight, Opie. Maybe later."

Rath is telling Max about the revolution on their home planet, when the Royal Four were killed; ever since, it’s been a war zone, and now they’ll do anything for peace. He adds that the cause was Zan’s passion, but Max reminds Rath that he’s not Zan. Rath is worried, as is Lonnie, who says unless Max goes to the summit, they’re not getting off this planet. Brody arrives, and is annoyed to find them all there, but Maria saves the day by inviting him to breakfast. Brody later confesses to Maria that he loses large chunks of time, and suspects that those are the times when he’s kidnapped by aliens.

Ava thinks that Max won’t go to the summit, but Lonnie smiles and says he’ll go one way or another. Later, Lonnie shows up in Max’s room, and apologizes to him for betraying him as Vilandra. She says that she and Isabel sold him out and they’re the ones with the blood on their hands. Max says that they aren’t technically Vilandra, and anyway, he knows Isabel would never betray him. Lonnie agrees, saying she wouldn’t do that to Zan, either.

Later, Max is outside, waiting for Isabel. He yells at her for having lied to him about Vilandra, saying that Vilandra betrayed him, Michael, Tess, and their mother. He is upset that he had to hear it from a stranger, who at least apologized for it. Isabel yells back at him that now he knows, and she’s not going to apologize for something done in a former life. She says that Max treats everyone as though they’re his property, and she’s not and never has been. Finally, she says he’s a self-centered, self-indulgent little boy, and no king. Just as Max angrily grabs her arm, Michael appears. Max says he’s going to New York, and storms off, leaving Michael to yell after him, "Go…be with them!" After he’s gone, Isabel and Michael smile at each other, then shapeshift into Lonnie and Rath. To celebrate their victory, they kiss passionately.

Max visits Liz to tell her he’s going to New York, and though he’s still angry with her, Liz warns him not to let anyone get their hands on the Granolith. Max wonders how she knows about the Granolith, but she won’t tell him. Later, as he climbs into the stolen car with Lonnie, Rath and Tess, Ava hangs behind. She recalls what really happened to Zan – Rath shoved him in front of an oncoming truck. She decides not to go, and the other four head off to New York without her.
