For some reason, Liz is by the side of the road, waiting for a taxi to take her to the airport for her flight to Sweden. Max tears his jeep across the median strip to stop in front of her. When she tells him she’s going to Sweden, Max snaps, demanding she get in the car. A cab pulls up as Max and Liz argue furiously, with Liz telling him he can’t pull that "King" crap with her. "I'm not Isabel," she yells, "You can't boss me around." (You got the first part right, Liz.) As Liz gets into the cab, Max says that if she goes, their friendship is over. Liz is okay with that, and the cab takes off for the airport.

Max and Tess are back at the Observatory, where Max tells Tess he used to hate his alien side, but now realizes he’s been hiding from himself. Tess takes his hand and tells him she’ll be there for eternity. He says he’s ready to wake up now, and they begin playing strip poker, only without the cards. Meanwhile, Liz arrives at the airport tarmac and is about to board her plane, when her cell phone rings. It’s the Swedish Embassy guy, telling her that the building appearing behind Alex and Leanna in Alex’s photos was torn down in 1994. While a shocked Liz suddenly realizes that Alex never went to Sweden, back in the Observatory, Max demonstrates his ability to unhook Tess’s bra without even using his alien powers.
