| When a UFO is sighted in
nearby Frasier Woods, Isabel, Max, and Michael decide the Evanses should attend the
Father’s Camping Weekend so they can check out the situation. Isabel and Max take
their father, Liz and Maria go with Liz’s dad, and Alex decides at the last moment to
go as well. He coerces his father into going along so he can be near Isabel, who broke
their date to see a movie together because of the Camping Weekend. Sheriff Valenti, who
planned to have Kyle go without him, changes his mind when he finds out Max is going. They
all set up their equipment close to one another. Isabel and Alex sit alone together looking at the stars, until Alex, who can
hardly keep his eyes off the girl he worships, mentions the word "date." Isabel
tells him forcefully that she cannot get involved with him that way, thus breaking
Alex’s heart yet again. Later, Isabel and Max, who are being chased through the woods
by Valenti’s men, come across River Dog, who has brought Michael along with him
("It’s time," he said.). They find a clearing where a strange symbol glows
in the grass. Max makes the symbol disappear just before Sheriff Valenti finds them.
