(Where is Isabel in this episode? Except for a minor mention here and there, she is nowhere to be found, unfortunately.)

Liz, Maria and Alex go to see a fortune teller, who informs them that 1.) Alex and Isabel will never consummate their relationship, 2.) Maria and Michael’s relationship will not endure for more than 48 hours, but, 3.) Max, even though he is an important leader, will choose love…he will choose Liz. Liz is thrilled, and later, in her room, fantasizes about being Max’s bride. But suddenly, an older, hairier Max climbs through her window. He has come from 14 years in the future, through the Granolith, to warn Liz that they must not consummate their love, or the world of the future will be taken over by their enemies. Future Max explains that with their growing closer, Tess is so upset that she runs away, never to return. This is a very bad thing, since it seems Tess is essential to the other three aliens – without her, they are less powerful. Eventually, their enemies overtake them, and with their world in chaos, Isabel and Michael are killed. Liz must therefore not only reject Max, Future Max tells her, but she must make Max fall out of love with her. Liz is heartbroken, but she does as Future Max demands; she asks Kyle to help her, and they pretend to sleep together. When Max comes to the window and sees them in bed together, he is devastated. Meanwhile, Courtney is putting some strong moves on Michael, to the extreme irritation of Maria. Michael gives Courtney a ride home, and discovers that she’s a Skin. Future Max visits Liz one last time, and they dance, as they would have at their wedding, until Future Max is gone, leaving Liz to face a future without the love of her life.
