Isabel is sitting alone in the Crashdown, when Kyle suddenly joins her, telling her, "I'm a guy. I know what freaks guys out. He wakes up tomorrow morning…one testicle!" Isabel replies that she’s over Max, but Kyle doesn’t give up. He starts in once again quoting Buddha, but she stops him cold: "Kyle, if you quote that fat bald man to me one more time, you’re gonna wake up one of these mornings and ZAP!" She points to a certain area on Kyle’s body. Kyle follows the direction of her gesture, looking nervously down.

Max takes out the trash to the dumpster in the alley behind his house, but he has trouble – the bag keeps falling over and spilling, and finally, Max is so frustrated he begins kicking the bag and the dumpster. He collapses in a sobbing heap next to the wall, just as Isabel comes out to see what all the noise is about. Max cries, telling her about Tess’s pregnancy, the problems with the baby being unable to survive on Earth, and the fact that he feels irresponsible and stupid. Isabel takes his hand and tells him to come with her. She asks if Max remembers "Bigfoot," and Max says he does – it was his guinea pig, which was attacked and killed in its cage by a neighbor’s dog. Isabel asks if he remembers what happened the next day, but Max doesn’t seem to. She lifts a hand in the air, and snow begins to fall. Max remembers that it snowed. Isabel says it was the first time any of them had ever seen snow, then continues, "It snowed for two days. Biggest storm to hit Roswell in a century. It was a disaster for everyone but us." They made snowmen and angels, and pelted Michael with snowballs – "It was magic," Isabel says, and Max adds, "Just like this." Isabel then apologizes to Max, saying her problems are nothing compared to his, but Max disagrees, telling her that isn’t true, that her life is important as well. Isabel says they’ll figure something out, then asks if the baby is a boy or a girl. Max replies that it's a boy, and they are both stunned at the idea of his having a son. They stand on the bridge, hugging, just as Michael drives up on his motorcycle. Michael looks at the snow and says, "A little public, isn’t it?" but Isabel and Max don’t seem to care. Michael pulls out the translated book, which Max begins to read. When Isabel asks what it is, a dazed Max tells her that the book contains the way to go home. Isabel, Max, and Michael stare at one another as they realize they can now go back to their planet.
