A lakeside community is overrun by giant killer cockroaches, who
breed within human bodies and then eat their way out. The local
sheriff may or may not be responsible for this phenomenon, since he
benefits from buying up all the devalued land in the neighbourhood.
As the town’s residents disappear one by one, the fate of the
community depends upon a young girl and her boyfriend, who, with the
help of a military man-turned-gonzo-bug exterminator, attempt to rid
the community of this creeping, crawling menace.
Katherine plays the lodge owner’s daughter who becomes romantically
involved with the local bad boy in town.
