IRC Client Configuration - Part 1

Index | 1 | 2

Using an IRC client to access the chatroom:
  1. Download and install an IRC client. If you haven't already done so, mIRC for Windows (www.mirc.com) and Ircle for MacOS (www.ircle.com) are both excellent products. Both of these programs operate under a shareware license.
  2. Fill in the personal information requested in the window which appears when you first run the program (Name, E-mail, Nickname, Alternative). This information does not have to reflect your exact details if you require anonymity.

Note: The Nickname you enter is the name assigned to you in the chatroom. If someone is already using this name, the Alternative will be assigned. You can also choose to register your nickname to prevent someone else from using it.
