Once a year, love is in the air and cards, letters, flowers and candy find their way to lover's doors. But this year something different is coming ... something not as pretty and definitely not as sweet.

Kate (Marley Shelton), Paige (Denise Richards), Dorothy (Jessica Capshaw), Lily (Jessica Cauffiel) and Shelly (Katherine Heigl) are young women looking for a relationship - a valentine to die for.

And this year they might just get their wish.

For kindhearted Kate and her circle of friends - brash Paige, humorous Lily, and insecure Dorothy - adolescent indiscretions return to haunt them as young adults. After attending a close friend's funeral, they begin to receive strange, menacing Valentine's Day messages. When a detective links their friends death to a boy they all tormented in junior high school, each realizes she may know the vicious killer who hides behind a cherub's mask.
