JustOne & Orapup Partner To Benefit Homeless Animals
JustOne & Orapup Unveil YouTube Video Starring Katherine Heigl To Benefit Homeless Animals
Innovative Pet Brand Partners with Actress' Charitable Venture to Raise Awareness and Funds to Help End Animal Cruelty
OREM, Utah (September 16, 2014), JustOne, a pet product line founded by Emmy Award-winning actress Katherine Heigl and her mother, Nancy Heigl, and - Orapup, the first tongue cleaner to beat bad dog breath today unveiled a YouTube video to raise awareness and funds for the more than 7 million companion animals that are abandoned or surrendered to shelters across the United States each year.
To help save the lives of homeless animals from euthanasia, the video encourages viewers to purchase JustOne's collection of leashes, collars and other merchandise, as well as partner products such as Orapup. Proceeds from the sale of every JustOne and Orapup item will benefit animals that have been abused and neglected, fund spay/neuter initiatives, and help implement rescue, transportation and rehabilitation programs.
JustOne was started to build awareness of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, an organization dedicated to animal welfare that celebrates the compassion, kindness and memory of the Heigls' beloved son and brother, Jason.
"At JustOne we're proud to be partnered with Orapup to help enhance the lives of companion pets," said Katherine Heigl. "All purchases you make of JustOne partner products or donations make a difference."
Orapup will apply its innovative YouTube marketing model to help extend the reach of the video and generate greater interest. With its educational and entertaining content, the Orapup YouTube channel has resonated with the pet community and garnered more than 23 million views - more than well-established pet brands IAMS, Pedigree and Purina combined.
"We applaud the Heigls' commitment to end animal cruelty and are proud to be partnered with this great cause," said Kainoa Clark, marketing director and pet advisor at Orabrush, the company behind Orapup. "With so many dogs deprived of the comforts of loving homes, we make it a priority to support local and national organizations dedicated to the well-being and safety of all dogs and companion pets."
Approved by veterinarians, Orapup combines ultra-soft, micro-pointed bristles with four in-line scrapers to collect and remove bad breath-causing bacteria from a dog's tongue. To entice dogs to lick away their bad breath and help build their natural oral health, Orapup Lickies, a supplement with FDA-approved, gluten-free ingredients, is applied to the surface of the Orapup. Long a source of frustration for pet parents, proper oral care is a treat with the Orapup because it encourages dogs to clean their own tongues, creating an enjoyable bonding experience.
In addition to winning an Emmy Award, Katherine Heigl has been twice nominated for a Golden Globe. She is best known for her starring roles in the feature films The Ugly Truth, 27 Dresses and Knocked Up, as well as her portrayal of Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens in the television medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Katherine is set to appear in NBC's drama series State of Affairs this Fall. She is the proud pet parent of several rescue dogs and cats.
