Making Trades On ICAP Global Charity Day
Katherine Heigl turned financial trader as she joined a host of famous faces for ICAP Global Charity Day on Tuesday, December 3rd. The worlds leading inter-dealer broker held its 21st annual fundraiser at company offices around the globe, and in New York celebrities such as Halle Berry and Kate Upton joined her on the trading floor.
The special trading day sees 100% of ICAP revenues and commissions donated to a selection of charities around the world that are represented by the stars. As part of the day's activities, the celebrities interact with ICAP clients to boost trading volumes and encourage employees.
Katherine took to the phones, talking to clients and shadowing the brokers as they executed deals. Staff members also dressed up for the event and the busy trading floor was a hive of activity as staff mingled with their famous counterparts.
Katherine represented the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, her non-profit charitable organization dedicated to animal welfare. ICAP Global Charity Day has raised over $180 million for worthy causes since its inception, with the 2013 event contributing $15.5 million from 63 offices worldwide, benefitting more than 200 charities.
