In latest issue of WebMD magazine, Katherine talks to the digital publication's 8.5 millions readers about her animal instincts. From childhood pets, to the dogs, horses and donkeys that now share her Utah ranch, Katherine explains how she has always opened her heart and her home to four-legged friends.
A passion that lead her to create the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation with her mother Nancy, to tackle the massive problem of homeless pets and animal cruelty. She has also developed a pet product line to help provide additional funding for the non-profit organization's life saving work.
Journalist Gina Shaw also chats to Katherine about family life in the cover feature and interview, and asks whether the actress sees daughters Naleigh and Adalaide following her or husband Josh Kelley into show business. She also gets to muse over the characters she has played in film and television, revealing which fictional creation is closest to her own personality. On matters of her own health, Katherine speaks about the workout regime she adopts when preparing to film a new project.
