The Tonight Show Christmas Gift Exchange
Her present for Jay was a variety of merchandise from the Just One brand including a selection of dog and cat collars. Proceeds from the venture go to help fund animal welfare programs and assist four-legged friends in desperate need. The host reciprocated with his own animal themed gift - a pooper scooper with his face painted on it!
"That is so twisted," Katherine commented, when she noticed that the Leno's mouth actually opened and closed along with the scooper. "I'm going to send you a photo of me using this," she added laughing.
Katherine wore a smokey gray sequin and chiffon Randi Rham pleated dress with claret satin and pave shoes by Rene Caovilla. She accessorized the ensemble with diamond and geode earrings by Kimberly McDonald, and gray and white pave diamond bangles and ring by Vram at Gray Gallery.
During the interview she spoke about her Christmas plans at home in snowy Utah, her skiing prowess and her joy and surprise at adopting her second child, daughter Adalaide, with husband Josh Kelley earlier this year.
"We started exploring the idea of domestic adoption - just exploring - and then my lawyer called and said, "There's a birth mother and she's due in four weeks and she’s all yours if you want her," Katherine recalled. "He [Josh] thought it was gonna be a few years, and that we were gonna end up with more of like a nine-month-old or 10-month-old, and he looked at me and said, 'You’re telling me in a month we're gonna have a newborn?'" she added. "It has been beautifully serendipitous and graceful, because we've gotten to spend all this wonderful time with her."
Katherine also got to play domestic goddess and get her hands dirty in the kitchen as she teamed up with Jay and baking expert Marjorie Johnson to make a special festive treat.
