Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley were thrilled to welcome daughter Adalaide Marie Hope into their family last month. The couple adopted the precious newborn baby girl early in April and in an interview with Hello! magazine last week, Katherine explained that the emotions of meeting the gorgeous brown haired little girl were something that they will never forget.

The one-hour, emotionally-charged television special celebrates the human-animal bond by showcasing three inspirational stories about shelter dogs and the lives they change.
