On Saturday, February 4, Katherine Heigl enjoyed a walk through the historic part of Esslingen-Altstadt as part of her official visit to the city. She was guided on her tour by Dr. Peter Kastner, Head of the Municipal Department of Arts and Culture and was joined by her mother Nancy for the stroll around town.
On another very cold day in Germany, Katherine made sure she was wrapped-up well for her second visit to Esslingen in two days. She also swapped her high heels for footwear better suited to the narrow cobbled streets, for the walk that was covered by a crew from television station RTL and a number of journalists. The reporters accompanied her during the specially arranged 30 minute journey, where she discovered more about the town her grandfather grew up in.
After completing the tour she headed to the Neues Rathaus Restaurant for lunch and an interview with entertainment and lifestyle magazine Bunte.
