At the 18th Annual Elle Women In Hollywood Tribute celebration on October 17, Katherine Heigl spoke to entertainment channel Extra about her new movie One For The Money, explaining that not only was she a big fan of the Janet Evanovich novels on which the film is based, but how it was important for fans of the book that they honor the characters on the big screen.

Children were the topic of discussion with the Los Angeles Times, as Katherine explained that in her circle of friends she is one of the few women with children. "I don’t actually have a ton of friends with kids, it’s really weird. Naleigh doesn’t really have a lot of friends, it’s sad," Heigl said of her almost 3-year-old daughter with country singer Josh Kelley. "We literally had to put her in preschool so she could make some friends and socialize," she added.

PopSugar also caught up with Katie to find out her plans for Halloween and to discover what costume she was thinking of getting for daughter Naleigh.

Joining husband Josh Kelley at several shows while he toured with singer Taylor Swift earlier this year, Katherine explained to Celebuzz that she bonded with the young superstar immediately. "I adore that girl. I was so excited to meet her! I tried to keep it cool but after chatting for only 20 minutes I was like ‘we’re best friends now!’. She is so sweet and down to earth."

She also spoke about working with another musician on her forthcoming movie New Year’s Eve, "I play a caterer that gets the gig to cater the big, fancy New Year’s Eve party in New York. Her ex-boyfriend, played by Jon Bon Jovi, is a very famous, big-time musician, comes back to play Times Square."

"And yes, we totally make out," laughed Katherine.

"It’s really interesting talking to Jon about his career and all the little things that I now know about from my husband, like the lingo and when you’re touring, how do you feel bout your rider," Heigl laughed, adding: "I dropped in as much music lingo as I could!"

She also explained to E!, that "Jon plays my big, famous musician ex-fiance who comes back into town to sort of win me back."

"It’s always so nerve-wracking," Katherine continued when asked about their romantic scenes. "There’s all the giggles and there’s all the Altoid popping." But Bon Jovi couldn’t have been more of a gentleman. "He’s just a gem, one of the nicest guys ever," she added.

US Weekly also chatted with Katherine as she made her way down the red carpet, eager to find out who she was crushing on when it came to celebrity fashion.

"My favorite is Rachel Bilson – I literally read her column in InStyle every month," Heigl revealed to the celebrity magazine. "Do what that girl says! She looks fantastic all the time."

Katherine’s hair for the glamorous event was styled by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. He spoke with Talking Makeup about the look he created, demonstrating how he had textured the hair to accentuate the beaded neckline of Katherine’s gown.
