Trade publication Screen Daily reports that Toronto based Entertainment One (eOne) has acquired the rights to Katherine's latest project "The Big Wedding" from Nu Image for the Canadian and Benelux markets at Cannes.

Principal photography for "The Big Wedding" aka "Gently Down The Stream" begins in July.

The Justin Zackham penned and directed movie also stars Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Topher Grace, Ben Barnes, Amanda Seyfried and Patricia Rae.

The film is about a dysfunctional, divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (played De Niro and Keaton), who pretend to be still married at their adopted son Alejandro's (Ben Barnes) wedding in order to please the guest of honor: his religious birth mother (Patricia Rae). Katherine will play their daughter Lyla Griffin and Topher Grace her brother Jared.

Susan Sarandon will portray De Niro's longtime girlfriend who caters the wedding to support the charade. Robin Williams will play priest Father Monaghan.

Entertainment One president Patrice Theroux said "We are thrilled with the quality of the films acquired for all of our territories at this year's Festival de Cannes".
