Katherine Heigl and husband musician Josh Kelley have been spending some time in Nashville this week.

The couple attended the CMA Awards on Wednesday and after the show headed to the Universal Party held at Giovanni’s Ristorante in the city.

Josh has recently returned to his country music roots and signed with MCA Nashville. His new album will be released early next year and on Tuesday (November 9th), Katherine joined him as he shared new music from his MCA debut at a lunch and listening party. The event was held at Ben Folds’ studio on Music Row.

Katie also joined up with Josh to support him on his current tour recently, taking their daughter Naleigh, who will be two later this month, with her, as Josh explained to OK Magazine at the CMA awards.

"We’ve been on tour with Miranda Lambert the last couple months, and she came out with Naleigh for the three shows in Texas. We put a pack-in-play in front of the bed in the back, and drove the 12 hours back. It’s not easy, but for some reason, she sleeps great. I don’t sleep great on the bus, but for some reason, my daughter sleeps awesome. She wakes up and she’s like 'dada, mama.' It’s the weirdest thing in the world seeing this little kid pop up at the foot of the bed."

Katherine's red carpet look was a hit with fashion aficionados at the Awards and Us Magazine chatted with her makeup pro, Angela Levin, to explain how she created the look.

"On Katherine's eyes, I used the Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Kaska Beige, using all four colors in the compact, and a bit of the smoky blue shadow from Chanel Eyeshadow Duo in Bleu-Tendre. I sculpted her brows with Chanel Precision Brow Definer in Blond Clair," she tells Us.

"On her lips I used Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Cashmere, topped with Chanel Glossimer in Pleasing," Levin says. "Finally, I applied three coats of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir for a dramatic effect."
