After the launch of The Compassion Revolution on Thursday, Katherine Heigl spoke to the media about the initiative. During an interview with E!'s Marc Malkin, the reporter asked her about upcoming film project "One For The Money", which wrapped earlier this month, and "Life As We Know It", which hits theaters on October 8th.
"It was super exciting and fun," Katherine said of her work on "One For The Money", where she portrays bounty hunter Stephanie Plum in the movie adaptation of the Janet Evanovich best-seller. "We had a pretty good time down there in Pittsburgh. I got to wield some big boots and hold guns and be tough - or sort of try to be."
"I don't think I kicked his ass," Heigl said, laughing, when told of co-star John Leguizamo recent comments that her character beats him up in the movie, "I think he's being dramatic. I think I just shoved him."
Katherine added that if the film is a success at the box office, "the idea is that it will turn into a franchise," since Evanovich has already penned 16 novels in the series.
Discussion then turned to the poster for her new film, "Life As We Know It", which she also executive produced. Katie joked that it was not too hard to get Josh Duhamel to strip down to nothing but a pair of boxer briefs, "That kid will take it off for nothing," she cracked.
In a recent promotional interview for the film, Katherine said she thought Duhamel, her friend and co-star, was the ideal choice for the role of Eric Messer, "I thought he’d be perfect for Messer - even though Messer is a bit of a scruffy, baseball cap-t-shirt-and-jeans kind of guy and Josh is really polished. I just knew he should play this role."
